Tolulope I. Olumide Shodipo B.Sc., PG.Dip., MBA. (Cardiff). (DIRECTOR)
Tolu started his career with Total Nigeria Plc in 1996, following a successful recruitment process conducted in England by parent company Total France. He worked in Lagos in as sales representative for 2 years with training in Nairobi, Kenya in 1997 on the “Effective Network Retail Management” where he led a team of 6 sales representatives from various affiliates on tour of retail outlets to analyse stock control, P& L, Financial situation and cash control of 2 high volume stations.
In 1998, He attended a seminar in France on “Knowing the Group and its strategy”. He led a team on a tour of refinery and chemical plant on the outskirt of Paris. He won the Best sales rep award in 1998, also an award winner of “Operation 100” Achieving 333% growth in the Branch’s Motor oil sales in 1998, which gave him an unrivaled promotion to the post of the Industrial Sales Manager (Mid-west).
He surpassed the company industrial sales budget (Fuels, Lubes, LPG & Bitumen) for the year 1999 by identifying the Key industrial customers in the region. He re-positioned the company’s NO.1 position in BITUMEN sales in year 2000 & 2001 with average monthly sales of 8,000mt. He became a key facilitator at the company BITUMEN SUMMIT – “Towards maintaining a leadership position in the sector. He also led the company as chairman at several sales review meetings. Mid-west became the second largest region of Total in terms of Turnover and Profitability, after Lagos from 1999 to 2001.
Following Privatization in 2001, He joined Unipetrol Nigeria Plc. as part of the re-engineering team. He ran the Lagos Division of the company until 2003 contributing over 50% of the company’s average yearly turnover of US$550 million through the development of market penetration strategies for a portfolio of products: (Fuels, Lubes, LPG, Bitumen, Chemicals & Aerosols). Including non –fuel Products.
Played a key role in the successful integration and merger of Unipetrol and Agip: the biggest transaction in the history of the NSE. Effectively managed the old Agip retail outlets to maximize their full potentials through uninterrupted product supply and roll-out of the retail upgrade scheme. Post-merger results put Lagos Division in the lead with almost 60% contribution of the emerged entity.
Tolu graduated from the University of Lagos in 1990, with a B.Sc. (Special Honors) in Biological Sciences. After NYSC, he proceeded to England for a graduate conversion course in 1992, which gave him an admission into the University of Wales College Of Cardiff in 1993.He obtained a Masters of Business Administration and a Post-graduate Diploma in Computer Science in 1994 and 1995 respectively.
Recently resigned from employment to fully part-take in running the Oil and Steel Trading Company called R & J Limited, in a fully deregulated petroleum sector of the industry. He is notable for knowledge and expertise in the industry.
Durosola A. omogbenigun B.Eng., M.Sc., MBA (Yale Univ.) (DIRECTOR)
Duro is running Lead Energy Services Ltd., as the Chief Executive Officer, with relevant experience in the oil industry having worked at the executive management level of Mobil Oil Nigeria plc., as a Senior Planning Associate and Cash Planning & Investment Manager for four (4) years. In these positions, Duro also liaised with Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited to develop planning assumption parameters for forecast planning exercises while managing Mobil Oil’s US$300million insurance portfolio.
Duro is well trained business professional having undergone a rigorous management program at Yale School of Management to obtain a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). At Yale, his subject concentrations included Corporate Finance, Marketing, Competitive Strategies and Operations Management. He was then hired from Yale by Mobil Oil Corporation (MOC) Fairfax, Virginia, where he worked for about a year in both the Finance and the Shipping & Trading Department before transferring to the Nigeria affiliate.
Since leaving Mobil, Duro has also been engaged as an independent Consultant in the downstream oil industry on various occasions, the most interesting of which was to facilitate the development of the 1997 Downstream Oil Industry survey for Agusto & Co. (Industry Analysts & Financial Consultants). Duro still supports this company on downstream activities.
Prior to this, Duro trained as an Electrical Engineer where he obtained a Masters of Science degree in Controls and Instrumentation from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from University of Ilorin. Duro won various scholarship and merit awards while in school and coveted Total Quality Management award in Mobil. Duro also sits on the Board of Ibom Power Company and Akwa refinery.
